Radio Spectrum Management is seeking a skilled and dynamic manager to oversee the management of radio spectrum licensing across New Zealand. This critical role ensures that the radio engineers and technical officers operate at a high standard, adhering to nationally consistent practices, operational policies and business process frameworks.
As the manager you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and other management functions within the Radio Spectrum domain.

Extensive knowledge of broadcasting, telecommunications and radio communication industries and of the electrical appliance and electronic equipment supply industries, along with knowledge of the public sector policy process.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and inspire the team, manage cross-functional collaboration and work effectively with others to identify and implement processes across the business.
Proven ability to understand and apply legislation fairly and consistently, with an excellent knowledge of the international and New Zealand radio spectrum regulatory framework.
Knowledge of key influencers within the broadcasting, telecommunications, radio communication industries and electrical appliance and electronic equipment supply industries.
Demonstrates ability to balance statutory and technical issues and present them with simplicity and clarity that can be understood by a range of audiences.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement change, including in a technically complex environment.
Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
