Play a significant role in supporting one of NZ's largest Government departments.Work with a great and supportive team.Permanent, full-time position based in our National Office, Wellington.Mo te tunga | About the role The Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) team provides a range of asset-based services to support the delivery of Corrections' core business and ensure we can maintain consistent service delivery regardless of external events and crises.
The Manager Project Delivery oversees the timely and cost-effective completion of designated projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities include guiding direct reports, ensuring alignment of project management activities with objectives, managing complex or high-risk projects, and offering expert guidance to the National Manager.
Additionally, the role involves fostering a supportive and diverse work environment within the Project Management Team, prioritising safety and professional development. The manager contributes to refining standards and processes, promotes collaboration across teams, and cultivates positive relationships with stakeholders and other relevant departments. They also play a crucial role in identifying and addressing risks, resolving issues, and ensuring projects meet objectives within budget constraints.
To be successful in this position you will have extensive experience as a Project Manager in assets, property or construction disciplines, including managing large scale, complex projects.
Additional requirements include but are not limited to: Experienced Manager, Property with proven ability to deliver diverse and demanding capital projects to plan.Demonstrated leadership experience in construction project management including the ability to coach and mentor project managers.Commercial acumen demonstrated through leading or supporting the negotiation, delivery and implementation of projects.Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in identifying and resolving risks and issues within a complex capital projects environment.Excellent working knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991, Building Act 2004 and other relevant legislation and regulations.Other responsibilities include: Provide strong and effective leadership to your team, mentoring, coaching and building capability of all members.Actively participate in the Design, Develop and Delivery management leadership team.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the programme.The mid-point of the salary range is $170,033 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $144,529 - $204,040 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
