The RoleEHS Support is seeking a highly motivated Project Controller. This new role, reporting directly to the US Operations Manager, will be a critical member of the Operations Team and a partner to Project Managers in assuring the financial health of projects. This role will support the entire project lifecycle from proposal development, contract setup, vendor management, budget tracking, project setup and closeout, as well as PM training. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with PMs and communicate at all levels of the organization.
Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesCompile, monitor, and report on project financial data including planned spend, actual spend, estimate to complete, budget trends, project costs.Facilitate monthly project control meetings with project managers.Develop and implement training programs focused on enhancing project managers' financial acumen.Provide guidance to project managers in developing WBS structures to ensure effective tracking, invoicing methods, rate usage, and adherence to contract terms.Support accurate development of budgets and proposal development.Implement lump sum project budgeting, setup, and financial tracking.Train and improve upon reporting tools and dashboards to be most effective for project types across each group.Manage monthly reporting schedule for distribution to all Operations Teams as defined by Leadership.Collaborate where necessary with financial accounting group, Service Line Operations across all entities, and Leadership Team.Build relationships with colleagues to gain a clear understanding of the business underlying the numbers to support analysis.Ability and willingness to be adaptable to multiple environments in the Company including:Different types of project structures.Different types of project execution and timelines ranging from weeks to years.Multiple time zones across the globe.QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of increasing responsibility with a focus on project accounting in consulting or similar environment.Experience with project lifecycle and monitoring projects at different phases and billing structures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and accounting systems/applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and work cohesively with team members and internal stakeholders.Possess good judgement, organizational, time management, and leadership skills.A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to process information quickly.Ability to maintain discretion with handling confidential materials.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to identify issues and risks facilitate communication escalation for efficient and effective resolution.Familiarity with resourcing and operational issues impacting projects.Familiarity with contract terms and processes.Ability to communicate with multiple levels within the organization.EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.Highly Qualified CandidatesExperience with ERP systems, specifically Deltek Vantagepoint.Experience supporting operations teams and managers.Experience with contracts and insurance management.Experience with preparing financial statements, month-end close process, and general ledger management and reconciliations.BenefitsGenerous Vacation Policy.401k w/matching options.Short- & Long-Term Disability.Life Insurance.Sick Time.EEO StatementEEO Statement: EHS Support is an equal opportunity employer.
