The Office of the Secretary (OSEC) supports the delivery of Treasury's responsibilities, providing strategic policy and organisational advice to the Secretary.
The Manager has oversight of the day-to-day running of the Secretary's office and acts as a trusted advisor to the Secretary, using their strategic policy and influencing skills to lead the organisation, manage key relationships, and progress the Secretary's priorities.
This important work requires a special kind of person with a passion for making a difference. We are looking for someone who is:
Expert in economic, fiscal or social policy adviceStrong in relationship management and people leadershipAble to work at pace, with discretion and integrityExperienced in working directly with Ministers, Chief Executives, and public sector leadersAn exceptional collaborator and team playerDelivery-focused and an effective problem solverAdaptable and resilient, comfortable with high-priority issuesApt in critical thinking and analytical abilityGood in written and verbal communication, able to convey complex issues clearlyExperience in OSEC offers exposure to senior leadership decision-making and supports all teams to deliver their mahi in line with the Treasury's Strategic Priorities. This role suits a motivated candidate seeking to grow their policy and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
This role reports to the Director, Strategy and Executive Services (SES) and is a key member of the SES Management team.
