Flexible location: Wellington or Christchurch The Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Communications, Marketing, and Engagement and oversee and execute marketing activities, including strategic planning and budget management.
This role leads a team that delivers expert support and thought leadership across all marketing functions within the organisation.
A key focus will be driving continuous improvement in team capabilities, performance, and overall delivery.
In this role, you will: Oversee developing and delivering marketing strategies and content to achieve business objectives, ROI, and brand growth.
Lead brand stewardship, ensuring consistent application and development of policies and guidelines for brand usage and design.
Build and maintain strong relationships with revenue-generating business units to align marketing efforts with commercial goals.
Manage research initiatives and use data-driven decision-making to enhance organisational strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Contribute to and implement strategic business plans and manage reporting and analysis for continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Manage relationships and contracts with third-party providers, focusing on value for money and performance.
Provide leadership, support, and development for staff, driving performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while managing budgets and fostering an inclusive culture.
To be successful, you will have: A strong understanding of all elements of marketing, including digital, campaigns, brand, channels, content, stakeholders, media, and PR.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in a business setting.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth, including identifying new market opportunities, optimising product and service offerings, and enhancing customer engagement and retention.
Experience managing budget.
Cultural capability and competency in Te Ao Maori.
Ability to think strategically and respond to and manage risks and opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead, grow and develop a geographically dispersed team.
