Mo te tunga | About the roleElevate your communications career by joining the dynamic and award-winning engagement team at Queen Margaret College, Wellington's leading independent girls' school.The Communications Lead and Content Writer leads a close-knit team of two (Senior Designer & Marketing and Communications Advisor) and is pivotal in increasing the reach, impact and positive perception of Queen Margaret College through the delivery of high value and influential communications, digital experiences, events and PR. This role involves creating, editing, and distributing high-quality stories and content across various platforms to enhance the reputation image and engagement.You will have:Tertiary qualification in Communications, Media, Public Relations or Journalism, or a related discipline or equivalent experience which provides a wide range of skills in areas of communication, event management, public relations, storytelling, and copywriting.Minimum 5-12 years' experience developing and delivering communications activities, with at least 2 years in a people leader position.Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a track record of developing communication that clearly communicates key messaging and brand tone of voice for a range of channels and audiences.Proven experience capturing, creating, managing, and delivering content campaigns across print and digital platforms.Evidence of taking the lead on communications projects and events that have delivered the desired results.High degree of digital literacy with a proven track record and confidence working across digital platforms campaigns, including using CRMs to drive audience development and engagement.A team player with a strong work ethic, who is highly organised, with the ability to multitask.Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to problem solve, follow-through and meet deadlines while working as part of a small team, as well as independently.Experience using a range of channels and distribution strategies, including but not limited to campaigns, digital marketing, social media, public relations, events and advertising.Experienced in managing external parties, SOW's and budgets.Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with people of all ages, particularly the student body, teachers and the broader college community.Management of all corporate marketing platforms, including but not limited to Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google My Business, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and College website.Development and delivery of regular internal and external communications, plus media releases.Demonstrated initiative, ability to work to a plan and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once with pace, responding with flexibility and a positive 'can do' attitude.Me pehea te tuku tono | How to ApplyIf this opportunity sounds like it may interest you, please email your CV and cover letter to People & Capability at ****** close 29 October.
