The role/Te mahi The University Library is seeking a Manager, Library Engagement to lead our dynamic team in delivering innovative, student-focused services and programs.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience in customer engagement, service management, or a similar field to make a significant impact in an academic setting.
In this management role, you will oversee the development and delivery of high-quality customer-facing services across multiple library locations.
You will play a key role in embedding the Library's Customer Experience Principles, ensuring our services and spaces are welcoming, accessible, and aligned with the evolving needs of students, staff, and the wider university community.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise and a passion for excellence in customer services, team leadership, and engagement initiatives.
What You'll Bring: Extensive experience, ideally in customer engagement, service management, community service, or similar roles, within or outside the academic sector.Strong background in creating and implementing strategic engagement initiatives, user experience (UX) projects, or customer service programs.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and complex tasks.A proven track record of fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration across teams.The ability to translate customer feedback and data into actionable strategies that enhance service delivery and user satisfaction.A commitment to engaging with Te Ao Maori, including an understanding of Tikanga Maori, Te Reo Maori, or a willingness to develop these skills.This role offers the chance to apply your leadership and engagement expertise in a university environment, contributing to the success of students and the broader academic community.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) position, located in Dunedin.
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this job.
The appointment range for this role is $93,321 to $101,963.
Top of the range $110,603.
