Youth Development Lead – Pacific Trust Otago
Location: Dunedin, Otago Full-Time 1-Year Fixed Term (renewable up to 3 years)
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)

At Pacific Trust Otago (PTO), we're on a mission to uplift and inspire Tangata Moana youth in our communities. We're seeking a Youth Development Lead to walk alongside our young people, amplify their voices, and create pathways for leadership, wellbeing, and success.
Who Are We?
For 25 years, PACIFIC TRUST OTAGO (PTO) has been proudly serving Tangata Moana in Otago. As a for-Pacific-by-Pacific organisation, we believe in building connected, resilient, and flourishing communities rooted in our cultural identities. This role is part of our new Tangata Moana Youth Plan & Action Project, a transformational 3-year journey to empower our leaders of tomorrow.
About the Role:

Lead the creation of a Youth Strategy, Action Plan and Evaluation Plan through consultation with our youth, communities and stakeholders.
Facilitate talanoa, workshops, and cultural initiatives that strengthen youth leadership, wellbeing, and identity.
Bring generations together, bridging gaps, building understanding, and celebrating our heritage.
Work closely with youth, families, and stakeholders to create lasting, positive change.

The Superstar We're Looking For:

A heart for Pacific youth, with a strong understanding of Pasifika cultures, languages, and values.
Experience in youth leadership, development, or community engagement.
Strong project management skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the community.
Passion, vision, and resilience to walk alongside youth and support their journeys.
