Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead a small team responsible for managing intelligence systems across complex areas.
System Management: Manage intelligence systems and provide data analytics for intelligence purposes.
ICT Relationship Management: Represent NIC needs to ICT groups and manage core applications and systems.
Technical Assistance: Support the geospatial team with infrastructure and data acquisition.
Interface Development: Develop complex interfaces and services using Python, R, SAS, and Typescript.
ICT Advisory: Act as the key contact and advisor on all ICT systems and projects related to intelligence.
Technology Program Management: Manage all technology programs for intelligence.

This is a complex role requiring someone who is comfortable with working with ICT while balancing the needs of the users. A sound ICT base is needed along with an understanding of intelligence and the ability to get things done!
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in data science, ICT, or a STEM subject.
You may occasionally be required to work outside of set work hours and alternative locations for operational reasons.
This role is an office-based role at Police National Head Quarters, Wellington.
This role is set at Team Leader/Manager level , meaning your key purpose is "to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them."
