Loong Da Chinese Takeaways in Kerikeri is looking for a manager to join us. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team. This is a full time and permanent position, immediate start if you are successfully offered the job. You will work at least 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $30.00-32.00, depending on your skills and experience. You will be responsible for organising and controlling the operations of the restaurant to provide dining and catering services. Key duties include: Planning menus in consultation with the Chef. Planning and organising special functions/catering service if required. Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget. Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions. Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance. Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service. Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff. May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders. We expect the candidates to have: At least three years of relevant experience or a relevant diploma or higher qualification in management/business/hospitality. Flexibility to work on weeks, nights (up to 9pm) and public holidays when required. Drug free with a clean police record. NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa with unlimited work rights.
