Mackenzie District is a unique and sensitive environment, so this role is paramount in delivering outcomes fit for their iconic location.Reporting to the General Manager Operations and Regulatory Services, our Manager Three Waters will primarily be responsible for ensuring that the Mackenzie District Council's Three Water assets meet the current and future regulatory requirements, the needs of the Mackenzie District, and are aligned with the council's strategic direction. The assets must be appropriately developed, maintained, and utilized for the benefit of ratepayers and all users.To be successful as our Manager Three Waters, you will need:8+ years demonstrable experience in people leadership/management with the ability to articulate the corporate vision and take people on a change journey.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role.Three years' experience in three waters operations.Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or related field.Demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.Proven experience in project management.Demonstrated experience in working with the community in partnership to achieve outcomes.Knowledge of the Local Government Act, Reserves Act, and other relevant legislation.Knowledge of and respect for the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.An in-depth understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and other relevant health and safety legislation.This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week) based in Fairlie or Twizel, South Canterbury.If you're ready to take on a leadership role, then apply now!Applications close: 5pm, Thursday 21st November 2024.If you have patai (questions) regarding this position, please contact Alexis Kereikeepa at ****** or +64 27 597 5802.
