Assistant Manager
Work Location: Auckland Region
Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week, Monday to Sunday, rotating), Permanent role
We are a construction company based in Auckland. We are now looking for 1 Assistant Manager to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.
Tasks you may carry out:
Assist the manager in planning, organizing, and executing all activities related to company operations.
Supervise and coordinate the work of workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Monitor project quality to ensure it meets the required standards. Implement quality control measures and corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, including equipment and supplies. Assist in ordering necessary materials and equipment.
Prepare and send contracts and invoices to contractors.
Undertake regular and ongoing contact with project team members, sub-contractors, and other consultants.
Record and maintain data related to company activities. Use this data to make informed decisions and improve company performance.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, or coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
Maintain open and effective communication with the manager, workers, and other relevant stakeholders. Report any issues or concerns promptly.
Manage relationships with key clients, vendors, and suppliers, serving as the company's representative in negotiations at official and unofficial business occasions.
Ensure that all safety protocols and compliance regulations are followed. Promote a culture of safety in the company.
To be successful you will need to:
Have at least three years of solid relevant experience, or have a relevant NZ bachelor degree in Business Administration or another related field.
Be a great team player, able to follow instructions.
Be physically fit and willing to work hard.
Have a good eye for detail and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively.
Have a "can-do" attitude.
