The Role: We have an excellent career opportunity available that would suit an applicant with previous health and safety and emergency management experience who has supported and guided critical safety and emergency functions within an organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a best-practice health and safety system for THINK Hauora.
It will also work with THINK Hauora staff and general practice teams as part of the network we serve, to lead the planning, preparation and implementation of emergency management and business continuity plans.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Driving an effective health and safety culture throughout the organisation and providing thought leadership that promotes continuous improvement in health and safety systems and practices.
Conducting regular risk assessments ensuring that appropriate control measures and compliance with health and safety regulations and standards are in place.
Investigation of incidents, the maintenance of regulatory compliance, the formulation of emergency response strategies, and ongoing evaluation of the efficacy of health and safety initiatives.
Staying abreast of pertinent industry best practice and emerging trends and identifying how these are relevant for our organisation.
