This is a two year fixed-term contract opportunity, minimum 37.5 hours per week. From our offices at PwC Tower in the bustling Commercial Bay, you'll be joining a team of Indirect Tax experts.As a Manager, your role will be to provide high quality services to PwC clients under the direction of Directors and Partners. Your role responsibilities will include:Client Advisory and Management:Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their indirect tax needs and providing tailored advice.Advise clients on GST compliance, customs duties, excise taxes, and other indirect tax matters.Assist clients in planning and implementing strategies to manage their indirect tax liabilities and optimise their tax positions.Project Coordination:Manage multiple indirect tax projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including international affiliates, to deliver comprehensive indirect tax services.Ensure projects are completed within budget and scope, focusing on achieving client satisfaction.Technical Expertise:Stay current with changes in indirect tax regulations and industry trends, and communicate these changes to clients and team members.Provide technical insights and thought leadership on complex indirect tax matters.Conduct and review indirect tax analyses, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.Team Collaboration and Development:Work closely with senior team members to mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Business Development:Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of the indirect tax practice.Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and thought leadership materials to prospective clients.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure adherence to PwC's risk management policies and procedures.Assist clients in managing indirect tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.Maintain confidentiality and data security in all client interactions.Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 5 years' experience working at a large, global Chartered Accountancy firm, with hands-on experience in indirect tax.Proven experience in project management and client relationship management.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a closely related subject.Qualified, or working towards qualification of a relevant professional accounting body such as CAANZ, CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW.Additional Benefits:A cash contribution to enable you to set up your home workspace.An annual cash contribution to spend on items or activities that support your wellness.Life and income protection as part of our total remuneration package.Inclusive 18 weeks paid parental leave policy for all parents.Enhanced leave capabilities including the opportunity to purchase additional leave.Opportunities and resources to contribute to community and societal issues through the PwC Foundation's core programmes.Digital upskilling through our Digital Academy.Mo te aha tau e tatari ana? / What are you waiting for?Hit the Apply Now button!
