O te turanga - About the role
The Manager Financial Accounting will lead the team delivering financial accounting services within WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru. This role will also provide financial assurance and risk management oversight to the organisation.
Ko tou ake mahi - What You'll Do
Ensure fit-for-purpose financial systems are developed, delivered, and operated across WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru.
Lead the Accounts Payable/Receivable function.
Work across the organisation in partnership with the wider Finance team to ensure financial policies and processes are fit for purpose.
Support the Payroll function by providing backup support for approving pays.
Minimum Requirements
A tertiary qualification in business/accounting as well as a professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant or recognised equivalent).
In-depth experience within financial accountancy, preferably in the public sector.
A willingness to roll up your sleeves to support the team with practical tasks.
Significant experience leading a team of varying skills and knowledge.
Understanding and experience providing payroll support and processes would be advantageous.

As part of our remuneration framework, the full salary range for the position is from $127,488 to $168,609. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
