Manager - Fairlie - Mackenzie District Council

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to take on the role of Manager Three Waters, reporting directly to our General Manager Operations and Regulatory Services.

Your key focus will be ensuring the council's three water assets meet current and future regulatory requirements, align with our strategic direction, and benefit ratepayers and users alike.

To succeed, you'll need:

At least 8 years' experience in leadership/management with a proven track record of articulating corporate vision and driving change.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in management roles.

Three years' experience in three waters operations.

A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field.

Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

Experience working with communities to achieve outcomes.

Knowledge of the Local Government Act, Reserves Act, and other relevant legislation.

Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi principles.

Familiarity with Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and other relevant health and safety laws.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Fairlie or Twizel, South Canterbury, with a salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum depending on experience. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact, apply now.
