The Manager Equipment & Logistics Service Centre position is responsible for leading a small specialist team to provide equipment and logistics support across the south of the South Island (Otago and Southland plus Stewart Island). You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of equipment, acting as a subject matter expert to provide timely and accurate advice regarding operational equipment asset management and associated risk, and for delivering the logistics of ongoing asset management for firefighters in readiness, recovery and response.

Bring your proven leadership within an Equipment and Logistics position within a large and complex organisation. You will bring a strong understanding of best practice and public sector standards regarding warehouse and distribution management, maintenance, and repair. With your strong organisational and relationship skills, you will be comfortable proactively addressing and solving complex logistics issues in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
Knowledge skills and experience in managing and conducting light engineering, maintenance, repair overhaul, testing and form-fit-function certification on a wide range of operational equipment
Knowledge of warehousing management, storage, and distribution
Demonstrated leadership ability in creating a supportive working environment and managing a small team of three to five people
A valid driver's licence and be willing to travel including some overnight stays
Clear strategic planning to manage changing and challenging workloads with competing priorities
Clear and concise written and verbal communication

The salary range for this role is $96,998 - $107,776, dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
