Mo tenei turanga mahi About the role We are looking for a Manager Delivery and Support to lead the Commission's national office Voting Services team in playing their critical role in delivering national electoral events. These include General Elections, by-elections, and Government referendums. The Voting Services team provides the resources, training, and support to our field staff who provide voting services to the public, both across New Zealand and overseas.
You will lead a skilled, knowledgeable, and committed team, who love what they do, and consistently do whatever it takes to enable New Zealanders to exercise their right to vote. The role is focused on supporting individual members, and the team collectively, to develop their skills, achieve their professional aspirations, be well at work, transition to new ways of working, and grow their cultural understanding.
The salary band for this role is $145k - $178k.

You will enable team members to play their role in achieving organisational priorities and have fulfilling careers. Focused on delivering voting services for future electoral events, including the General Election in 2026, you will work effectively alongside other managers and teams across the Commission to deliver successful electoral events.

Build an operating environment that supports effective processes and practices within the Voting Services team. Work with the team to develop and implement standards for quality assurance across processes. Lead and facilitate the team's participation in reviews of electoral events, to identify potential changes and implement improvements. Ko nga mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu Your background Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years of senior people management experience. Experience in leading operational teams and/or large-scale events. Strong understanding of Te Ao Maori. Understanding of commercial practices, such as budget management within the constraints of a project. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
