We have a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join us at Fulton Hogan. The Auckland Region head office is in Penrose.
As a management accountant, you will support the wider business through effective time management and communication. Collaborating with Accounting and Finance Managers, you will review cost-to-complete analyses, supporting monthly accounts and profit and loss reviews, and maintaining accurate job costing. Our values will drive everything you do.
In addition to the above you will:
Provide detailed variance and margin analysis
Ensure job costing accuracy and processing of recodes and accruals
Prepare timely financial and ad hoc reports, including statements, reconciliations, and forecasts
Participate in project/department reviews
Assist in preparing annual budgets with Project/Department Managers
Manage capital including budgets and forecasting

We're looking for someone with:
Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive experience comparable to CA or CPA
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accounting standards, legislation, and best practices
In-depth understanding of business operations, commercial practices, and contractual law
Experience in providing strategic financial advice and leadership across an organisation.
Proficiency in financial systems, Excel and relevant accounting software
Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
