The Management Accountant supports the New Zealand Distributor business to achieve our targets and pursue our leading goals. As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the NZ Distributor financial and management accounting function, including monthly reporting, budgets and forecasts, costing, financial analysis, and modelling, and providing insights and business partnering to support management. Providing valuable support to the Fisher & Paykel Appliances team within our NZ business unit (NZ Distributor). Delivering the financial information and analytical insights that the local and global business requires to operate effectively, efficiently, accurately, and in a timely fashion. Supporting the NZ distributor teams to meet the objectives. Part of a team of nine finance staff offering business unit accounting, budgeting, inventory management, pricing, customer services, and commercial support. That's the role, so who are you? You will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience. Preferred experience: Experience in and knowledge of: Distribution accountancy in medium/large organisations, costing, logistics, and inventory management. You may have: Previous experience in distributor or retail businesses, appropriate tertiary qualifications and CA qualified (or working towards CA) or equivalent, technical skills, a strong financial understanding and analytical skills, an ability to identify opportunities to improve business performance, an ability to interpret diverse data sets - identifying trends and insights, intermediate to advanced abilities in MS Office and analytics applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), systems skills and knowledge of large ERP systems (JDE, Salesforce). You'll demonstrate: Strong written and verbal communication skills, an ability to grasp and understand complex business issues and translate to non-financial personnel, a customer-facing aptitude (including internal stakeholders), and an ability to manage competing demands. You'll be self-motivated and display initiative, a true 'self-starter', proactive and solutions-focused. Importantly, you will work collaboratively to deliver a successful outcome for the business.
