PGG Wrightson Seeds is seeking a Management Accountant to join our team for a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role is based just outside of Christchurch in our Lincoln office (head office for the Oceania group).Comprised of a number of business units, the Oceania team is made up of over 550 employees across Australia and NZ working in R&D, Product Development, Sales, Turf, Seed Production, Warehousing, Logistics, on-farm support and a corporate support team.We are part of the global DLF Group, headquartered in Denmark, with operations also across the UK and Europe, the USA, Canada, South America and Oceania; you will be a part of a truly worldwide co-operative.About the role:Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Oceania Finance team, this position will play a critical role in providing management accounting services to the R&D business unit of the PGG Wrightson Seeds New Zealand business.
This business unit plays an important role here at PGG Wrightson Seeds and it will be important to gain a strong understanding of the business and work closely with the relevant Managers.As our new Accountant, you will work in partnership with the leaders of our R&D and Corporate services to drive insights for decision making, promote financial sustainability and foster innovation.
You will assist all stakeholders to understand and deliver on their financial requirements and provide professional advice, guidance, support, and solutions.We are happy to accept people who are immediately available.
Please advise your current employment status and notice period.Duties & Responsibilities:Preparing monthly management reports for the New Zealand R&D and Corporate business unitsSupporting business unit managers with analysis and advicePreparing annual budgets and regular forecastsSupport the finance team in the transition of ERP systems and other projects.Skills & Experience:Exposure to consolidated group reporting, forecasting and budgeting tools is preferred.Ideally a minimum of 3-4 years relevant work experienceIdeally Manufacturing, FMCG, Agriculture or similar industry knowledgeStrong analytical skills with a good level of systems savvy and understanding of financial reporting systems.Up to date knowledge of accounting regulations and management accounting practices.Ability to work on modern ERP and IT systems and possess excellent spreadsheet skills.To Apply:PGG Wrightson Seeds is committed to creating long lasting, successful careers for their people.
