MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

We are a proud Northland family business providing large-scale highly automated commercial laundry services to industrial sites and the hotel/accommodation sector – including full supply, pick-up and delivery services from Kaitaia to the Harbour Bridge. We run a fleet of 26 vehicles and we have over 70 full-time staff in our team. This is a permanent position that reports directly to the General Manager and involves the day-to-day management of all in-house machinery general and preventative maintenance and includes sourcing spares and inventory and liaising with external contractors to help minimise unexpected downtime.
What You'll Do:
Manage all in-house machinery cleaning and preventative maintenance
Develop and maintain knowledge of all machinery programming and operation
Optimise machinery performance and presentation of finished products through continued programming, testing and adjustments.
Organise and assist contractors wherever possible to ensure the most productive use of their time onsite
Maintain maintenance documentation and records in software database

What We're Looking For:
Experience with electronics and industrial process lines (PLC, sensors, conveyor belts, air rams, motor bearings etc)
EST ticket preferred but not necessary
Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with our operators, suppliers, and specialist tech support
A passion for creating and improving systems and processes
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently and take ownership of your space
