Permanent full-time role: Monday - FridayExtensive staff benefits including health insurance and paid wellness daysWork close to home - at The Village PalmsAbout the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support our team at The Village Palms. Partnering with our Village Management Team, you will manage the maintenance of our modern boutique style village.The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key part in our village ensuring our residents continue to enjoy extraordinary living experiences in a well-presented and safe environment.Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5pm (40 hours per week) with an on-call component.Key responsibilities will include:Pre-empt & resolve maintenance related issuesLiaise with Contractors as a key point of contactManage preventative and planned maintenance schedules on all equipment and buildings within required standards.Uphold compliance requirements and ongoing quality improvementEnsure Health and Safety standards are met and maintained on site.Deliver high standard of handyperson service as required.About youA skilled communicator with a customer service focus keeping our residents at the core of what we doConfidence and ability to use hand tools, power tools and operate maintenance machineryWell-developed organisational and time management skills ensuring projects run on time or are kept within your pre-prepared budgetGood computer skillsAbout usEstablished in 1984, Metlifecare is a leading owner and operator of retirement villages, providing rewarding lifestyles and care to more than 6,500 New Zealanders.
