Maintenance Officer - Maintenance & Handyperson Services (Trades & Services)
Location: Ascot Care Home, Glengarry, Invercargill
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday, 8AM-4:30PM)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
Follow the preventative and planned maintenance programmes.
Manage cost efficiency and monitor energy costs and usage to identify improvements.
Keep current records of works completed and meet all compliance requirements.
Manage contractors when on site.
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to obtain the best price and value.
Participate in planning and implementation of minor refurbishment works alongside the managers.
About You:
Ability to engage with stakeholders and deliver high-quality service.
A minimum of 2-3 years' maintenance experience in a similar position; a relevant vocational or technical qualification is ideal.
Ability to use power tools and maintenance equipment effectively and safely.
Tech-savvy with sound organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks accurately.
Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders, work well within a team and autonomously, and take and give direction.
Demonstrate the ability to think outside of the box and problem-solve.
