Our Opportunity:Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Maintenance Lead for our Geothermal Central Region.
This leadership role supports three of our five geothermal assets - Rotokawa, Nga Awa Purua and Nga Tamariki, all based close to Taupo and Rotorua, that power base-load.
This means that they make power 24/7 ensuring a constant supply of power night and day to New Zealand.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll lead a team of five multi-disciplined direct reports (and up to 6 indirect reports) to ensure that the execution of our maintenance pre-planned work is completed to the highest standard.
You'll be exposed to the wider business, including our Maintenance Execution team, to collaborate and ensure effective planning, delivery and completion of maintenance activities while also driving continuous improvement.
Our sites operate in a unique new way of working where rather than individual station maintenance work, it's campaign based - rotating around the different power stations to ensure all available resources can work through maintenance activity quickly.
You'll join an industry that is constantly evolving and adapting for the future, which creates opportunities for you to grow as well.
You'll work closely with other site leaders and have opportunity to influence business decisions, giving you the skills and experience that will create further opportunities within Mercury.
