Hi Flo Pumps is one of Auckland's leading pump sales, installation and service organisations. Our focus on Quality, Expertise and Service is seeing us continue to grow our customer base and as a result we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter/Pump Mechanic looking for a new and interesting role supporting our Pump Service team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for working with the team servicing pumps and pump systems across the Auckland region and in our Penrose workshop. This work involves refurbishment of pumps & pump systems and small projects in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. The role offers a wide and interesting mix of jobs and experience. At Hi Flo Pumps we focus primarily on Grundfos, the world's leading pump brand, this fits in well with our belief in quality products. We have a great deal of knowledge and experience in the company with a strong emphasis on customer service.  Experience as a maintenance fitter within the pump industry is essential. This will include a proven track record over at least 8 years in the following disciplines: Inspect, diagnose, and perform major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, controls, valves, and related equipmentPerforming onsite maintenance, erecting machines if requiredPerform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, engines, and compressorsAssembling components for installationOverhauling and using suitable parts and materials fit for purposeCutting and bending machine parts using machine toolsUsing and maintaining specialised toolsUsing MIG, TIG and ARC welding methods including drillingResponding to emergency calloutsRepair wastewater lift stations, storm drain stations, and water transfer pumpsCarrying out planned maintenance checksTo be part of the Hi Flo Pumps service team you must enjoy helping customers and be prepared to work outside normal hours if required. It is also essential that you have good English skills both written and verbal plus a full and clean drivers' license. To the successful candidate we will pay an attractive hourly rate in line with your knowledge and experience, plus overtime when available. You will be provided with a sign written utility vehicle and a company cell phone.
