About the opportunity Established in 1968 and located in the heart of the Waikato's dairying region, our Reporoa site has grown its capability to process 2.5 million litres of milk per day.
It converts over 3000 metric tonnes of casein a year into higher value sodium caseinate and is the only site that produces total milk proteinate for export for performance nutrition purposes.
Joining us as Maintenance Engineering Manager , this is a real impact role where you will be a key member of our Operations Leadership team proactively improving the reliability and stability of assets and processes for the Reporoa site.
You will play a key role in: Developing and leading the site and national engineering strategy.
Ensuring the team meets site operations goals.
Taking ownership for delivering maintenance planning and scheduling.
Ensuring process compliance and the engagement and development of your team.
You will also get the chance to showcase your strong technical skillset as well as leadership expertise while managing site contractors and the shut management programme.
Utilizing your strategic deployment experience, you'll develop and embed standard asset management systems, working closely with site and factory leaders, and the wider site maintenance team.
With your passion for projects, safety, asset management and maintenance, you will drive operational excellence and improvement through proven change leadership to create an environment where everyone has the chance to be their best.
About you Whilst a proven background in plant maintenance from a manufacturing site is key, equally important will be your ability to engage and lead a diverse team whilst driving the delivery of strategic initiatives relating to site asset care.
Ideally, you will have: An Engineering, Manufacturing, Project, Maintenance or strong Leadership background with a proven record of success in transformation.
Strong reliability and asset management experience.
Proven success of leading and inspiring teams.
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Exceptional ability to implement continuous improvement.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Experience managing financial budgets and department strategy.
A trade or tertiary qualification in engineering or maintenance.
Exposure to Asset Care and high volume manufacturing lean manufacturing practices ideally from the food or FMCG industry.
