Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Levin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring the reliable operation of machinery and facilities. You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime, optimizing productivity, and ensuring the safety of all equipment in the facility.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues.Plan and execute preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.Collaborate with the production team to address any maintenance needs or issues that arise during production shifts.Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and suggest solutions.Comply with all safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field2+ years of experience in industrial maintenanceStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools, and experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Willingness to work flexible hours.How to Apply:Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and cover letter today.
