Maintenance Contract Manager – State Highways New Zealand Transport Agency – New Plymouth, North Island

As our Maintenance Contract Manager , you will work with the Network Outcomes maintenance delivery contract and provide levels of service that meet both the technical requirements and the customer needs. The purpose of this role is to work with the state highways maintenance and operations service delivery contractor to achieve the specified customer and technical levels of service.
Working alongside the Senior Network Manager, Journey Manager and other internal teams, you will play a vital part in contract management to assist in achieving the best outcomes for all parties, through collaboration and open communication. This is where your strong relationship management and negotiation skills will come to the fore. This is a varied role and other responsibilities include collaboration with contractors, promotion of the Network Outcomes Contract and monitoring the safety of the state highway networks.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Significant experience in contract management working with NZS3910
Experience of relationship management, including contracting and expert dispute resolution capability
Proven ability to influence and negotiate
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to deliver a strong customer focus culture
Civil design capability and asset management experience
Whole of life design philosophy
An Engineering degree, or equivalent
A Chartered Professional Engineer qualification (CMEngNZ or equivalent) is desirable.
