Machinery Operator And Maintenance Assistant

You are required to be available for Production related duties on our farming and cropping operation including the general maintenance of Agricultural machinery and vehicles. Your job will include driving machinery such as tractors, harvesters, forklifts and trucks. Your tasks may also include some crop management which includes spraying, weed and pest management. You will be required to operate in a safe and consistent manner and perform your duties to the best of your abilities at all times. Driving machinery includes refueling, checking oil and water levels daily, and keeping the machinery you drive, clean, tidy, and safe Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed. Applicants must have the following as per employer's requirement: Applicants must be physically fit. Applicants must pass pre-employment drug test. Applicants must provide a CV. Must be a person with a positive attitude, with a degree of self confidence Must be willing to learn and strive for continuous improvement. Must be someone who can listen to instructions and do them willingly Must be well presented, clean and tidy at all times Must be a team player and able to relate well to people IDEAL selection criteria: Some driving experience Mechanically minded Willing to commit to culture of continuous improvement Knowledge in crops Roles and Responsibilities: Operate machinery as required Manual task work as required Fill in timesheet using T sheets App Hand timesheet to management Check oil.water level in machine Clean machine Machinery maintenance oversight. Performance Objectives: Drive machines in a careful responsible manner so as to achieve set tasks quickly and efficiently without damage. Shows attention to detail relating to machinery care and maintenance. Machinery Maintained and kept in safe and tidy order at all times. Machinery maintenance records kept in a diligent manner. No accidents, remember, accuracy comes before speed. Listens to instructions – continues to learn. Strives for continuous improvement.
