Our values will drive everything that you do.ResponsibilitiesAsphalt plant operationMonthly calibration checks on cold feed binsPlant and equipment maintenance and cleaningEnsure adequate production to meet customer demandsFollow requirements set out by supervisor or Department ManagerEnsure that appropriate inspection, measuring and test equipment is used to demonstrate conformance to requirementsOperating a FE loaderWhat you'll bring to the tableFull Class 1 and WTR NZ Drivers Licence essentialGeneral plant operation knowledge and basic trouble-shooting abilityAbility to work flexible shifts, some night and weekend work will be requiredA mechanical or engineering background would be an advantageAbility to work effectively in a small teamExperience or exposure to civil plant operations - Asphalt Plant or Bitumen Plant would be a bonus but not essential, full training will be providedExcellent communication and interpersonal skills (customer facing)An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match.Follow instructions, plans and schedules independently of direct oversightGood computer skillsWhat's in it for youAt Fulton Hogan we truly care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools they need to succeed.
