Joining Temperzone means more than just employment; it's joining a tight-knit family where our culture and values permeate every aspect of our work.Join our team as a Machine Operator on our sub-assembly line, where you'll be responsible for operating machinery to cut and bend sheet steel or aluminium into designed shapes prior to assembly in the manufacture of air conditioners.
Have your pick of either our dayshift (6:45am - 3:15pm) or afternoon (3:15pm - 11:15pm).Reporting to the Sub-Assembly Line Foreman, this busy, hands-on role includes the following tasks:Set up and monitor machines according to guidelinesMake necessary adjustments and recover from breakdownsPerform regular TPM as requiredSelect jobs and identify drawings, cross-checking with programsForm work queues and load raw materials using a forkliftTransport finished products to the next operation using a forklift or hoistMeasure dimensions, angles, and rotations, making adjustments as neededChange tooling and identify correct drawingsUnderstand and comply with safety and environmental policiesReport and resolve safety issues, contributing to improved practicesRequired Experience and Skills:Proficient in operating machinery for cutting and bending sheet steel or aluminiumComputer literate, with the ability to program machinesSkilled in interpreting engineering drawings and dimensionsStrong knowledge of safe work practicesReliable team player with excellent attendanceBenefits:We offer a competitive hourly rate plus allowancesANZ Benefits Package – discounts for personal bankingImmediate health insurance cover for you and your family with UnimedEmployee Assistance Program – free counselling and wellbeing supportCareer growth and stability working for a successful privately owned NZ companyHow to Apply:Follow the steps which take you to our external link to answer a few brief questions.We aim to get in touch with you within 2 weeks following the submission of your application.Priority is given to candidates with a New Zealand driver's license, reliable transport, and work eligibility.
