About the role
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with experience in machine vision to join our client's growing team. In this role, you will directly impact the quality and effectiveness of the overall perception system by making sure the data used for machine learning tasks is accurate, consistent, and of high quality. You will play a key role in optimizing perception systems through model development and improvement, working closely with a dynamic team of engineers and machine learning experts.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage storage of and access to data sets, taking security, speed, and efficiency into account.
Manage ongoing dataset requirements based on current performance and future needs.
Curate large image datasets to enhance the training data for the computer vision systems.
Manage a team of data annotators, providing clear instructions and ensuring high-quality output.
Define and manage a backlog of priorities for data annotation.
Automate data curation workflows using tools like Python and Dash.
Assess the performance of existing machine learning models and identify areas for improvement.
Train and optimise machine learning models, developing algorithms for continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
Software Engineering or Computer Science degree, or similar qualification.
Strong background in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning.
Experience with Neural Networks and Machine Learning.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data manipulation and automation tools.
Experience with dataset management and related tools and technologies, such as cloud storage, SQL, scripting, etc.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about data quality.
Experience managing and providing feedback to remote teams.
Passion for robotics and a desire to work on cutting-edge autonomous systems.
