The Auckland (AKL) team is looking for a Logistics Specialist to be the primary contact for inventory workflows, lead inventory-related projects across multiple locations in Auckland which help make sure existing processes stay relevant and align with team strategy.
This person will also create training materials or help peers learn new tools.
If you would like to dive deep into the plans and administration around inventory consumption, control and accuracy, we'd like to meet you.
Your work will to ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations by being a part of operating the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities Logistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of inventory control, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and have project management experience.
Working with the Logistics Manager, create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle; managing project plans, documentation and contracts, tracking inventory locations and movement.
Working closely with Data Center Operations Engineers to fulfill deliveries quickly and accurately and resolving problems concerning delivery.
Audit and report on work performed by team, working with senior management to define improvement areas and timelines.
Project tracking and driving outcomes among project teams, and delivering results.
Negotiate resources and priorities and manage vendor relationships.
You will oversee vendor work and report on variations.
