The role demands a time-focused individual who can adhere to set processes with a high degree of accuracy. Reporting to the Supply Chain and Master Data Manager, the role is responsible for covering all administration and logistical operations for ZEISS New Zealand.The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):Ensuring internal control mechanisms are in place and being utilised to safeguard the company's stock.Utilizing SAP to coordinate the order to billing process, processing purchase orders and processing returns and tax credit notes.Coding costs on supplier's invoices for accounts payable.Picking customer sales orders, loan orders, exports and inter-branch transfers from warehouse stock. Ensure relevant stock related transactions are processed accurately in SAP.Ensuring the timely dispatch of all outbound deliveries, appropriately packed with consignment notes accurately filled in and ensure all relevant documentation is included with each delivery.Using and maintaining a computerized consignment system set up by the respective freight carrier. Maintaining the hard copy filing of consignment notes and maintenance of the outbound delivery register.Track and trace outbound and inbound deliveries with the relevant carriers to ensure on-time delivery to customers. Pro-actively ensure appropriate escalation procedures are followed when there are failed deliveries.Physically receive and check inward deliveries into the warehouse and forward all delivery paperwork to the appropriate department – notating any anomalies or damages.The key skills required for this role include:Previous experience using SAP or equivalent software.Sound computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications.Self-managed individual able to work with minimal supervision.Proactive approach and willingness to assist others and contribute to the smooth operations of the business.Good communication skills (written and verbal) and able to communicate across various teams within the organisation.Highly organised, able to work systematically and accurately and takes pride in the warehouse.Ability to understand and learn all aspects of warehousing and transportation.Physically able to handle an amount of physical work (lifting of boxes etc).If you are a team person with high levels of motivation and able to work autonomously, you will flourish in this role.
