Official Title: Variations Officer Summary: Processing of variation requests for both Australia or New Zealand Group brands by obtaining necessary information and documentation from the borrowers. Liaising with panel solicitors, settlement agents, mortgage insurers and appropriate lenders Preparing variation agreements and end processing to ensure the system is updated as per approval Responsibilities: Responsible for the preparation of loan increases, rate conversion, partial discharges, substitutions, change of security use, and Deed of Priority Preparation of consent and registration of plans for subdivisions, Notice of Death, Transfer of name, Variation of Ownership, Release of Borrower, Strata Application, Positive Covenant, Bankruptcy, and Transmission Application Changes to loan structure including Dynamic Repayments, Portion Consolidation, Portion Realignment, Limit Reduction, Portion Split, and Portion Closure Send instructions to the lender and solicitor to prepare the necessary documentation for a partial discharge; consent and/or security substitution (no additional funding) Negotiate with clients as to resultant loan structure for partial discharge request Arrange authority forms from the client Obtain lender approval for 2nd mortgages, consents to plan of subdivision, easements, notice of death, change of name, change of tenancy etc. Obtain credit approval for funded variations Instruct solicitor as to the lender requirement for preparation of application documentations and production of certificate of title Obtain mortgage insurer approval (if applicable) Liaise with valuer in respect of updated valuation reports (where applicable) Check payout figures for specific lenders (if applicable) Order security packets to solicitors and copy of documents Requirements: Knowledge: Sound knowledge and understanding of mortgage processing procedures Knowledge of the non-banking, mortgage broking and mortgage management sectors Familiarity with the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act and Privacy Act Responsible Lending, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Experience: Minimum of 6 months of solid variations experience in Australian mortgage Relevant experience in the non-bank mortgage industry, specifically Australian mortgage variations, settlements or discharges Experience with the New Zealand non-banking mortgage market is a plus Attributes: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening High level of accuracy, attention to detail, task driver and well-organised Strong computer literacy and keyboard skills Excellent multitasking skills and ability to cope in a fast-paced high-volume environment Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability Well-presented and articulate Responsive and customer focused Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders Self-motivated and proactive Motivated to work effectively and cohesively within a friendly team environment Ability to adhere to strict guidelines and deadlines High level of integrity and strong work ethics What We Offer: Dayshift with Sat-Sun off – more time to spend with the family Leave accrual upon hiring HMO + free dependent upon confirmation to regular status Specific client-initiated benefits Quarterly performance incentive bonus Medicine reimbursement benefit Birthday Leave Annual performance review Company-wide engagement activities Be part of a company that values its employees Career planning and development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
