About the Role: As an Operational Risk & Compliance Specialist at Milford, your role will be multi-faceted - you will have the opportunity to leverage your passion for process improvement, whilst gaining exposure to enterprise-wide risk.
Key Responsibilities: Working closely with a range of business units, you will play an integral role in supporting and optimising risk management processes within these areas.Conducting risk assessments, controls testing, and providing recommendations to strengthen risk frameworks and compliance practices.Collaborating with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Gaining a deep understanding of investment-related risks and their impact on our business, with a focus on continuously improving risk management practices.Assisting in the development and implementation of risk and compliance strategies that align with Milford's long-term goals and ambitions.Supporting the risk maturity project, contributing to a proactive approach to risk management across the organization. Key to Success in the Role: The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in risk, compliance or audit, preferably with a background in funds management or banking.
You should have a good understanding of risk management practices and be well-versed in relevant legislation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will be relied upon to convey complex risk concepts in a clear and approachable manner. Excellent written communication skills are necessary for reporting purposes and liaising with senior stakeholders.
