About YouAre you a literary enthusiast with a passion for creating vibrant library spaces? Do you thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment?
You will play a pivotal role in nurturing the library's atmosphere, curating unique programmes, and fostering a sense of wonder and awe among our diverse communities. Working with the public is rewarding and at times challenging. You'll need to be confident and proactive in customer service, ready to work in a very public environment with a wide range of customers. You will be responsible for ensuring technical equipment and services are adequate and accessible for both staff and customers. A commitment to ongoing learning and training is also important.
Ideally You Will Have:Excellent customer service skills and experienceHigh levels of competency with systems and technologyThe ability to provide technical digital guidanceHold qualifications or have experience within Matauranga MaoriEnthusiasm for co-design and delivery of high-value services for our various communitiesOutstanding communication skills – written, oral, and social mediaOpotiki district has a relatively small population but it is huge in size, opportunity, and culture: it also boasts one of the most beautiful coastlines in the country! Opotiki district is in a period of growth, and working with us is an opportunity to play a part in the district's transformation.
