Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.
About the RoleThe Lettings Officer will assist the Lettings Team Leader in the delivery of organisation wide Lettings Service by ensuring effective operation of the lettings process, including management of Durham Key Options (or its successor) and other allocations processes that believe housing may introduce. To deliver outstanding services direct to customers in line with the vision and values of the organisation. Let all residential properties, with a variety of tenures, across believe housing effectively.
The successful candidate will:
Assess the housing needs of applicants to the Durham Key Options scheme or any other allocation scheme that believe housing operates, in accordance with the relevant policy.Assist the Team Leader in collecting performance management data for the management of the Housing Register and the preparation of information and feedback on Lettings performance in a variety of formats.Liaise with Occupational Therapists, both internal and external, with regard to medical needs and specific requirements in more complex cases.Shortlisting of applicants, incorporating eligibility, affordability checks as well as Pre-Tenancy Rent Estimates.Provide practical advice and information on a wide range of issues including housing, floating support, and signposting and referring applicants to specific internal and external services, including pre-tenancy support.Work in partnership with other believe housing teams to deliver excellent performance and outstanding services for customers.Our people are our greatest asset which is why we value you, encourage you, look after you, and empower you.
