Lending Officer - Automotive Finance

We are on the hunt for an experienced Lending Officer, from within the Finance or Banking industry. The core function of the role is to provide lending decisioning in a prompt, professional manner within legislative requirements, company policy and principles. The team operate seven days a week to support a larger dealer network with the Lending Officers rostered over this period based on a five-day working week which will include 1 weekend day.  Some Key Responsibilities:  Process daily retail applications using company policy, procedures and own experience for recommendation/approval including:Assessing individual vehicle, marine. personal loan and dealer initiated fleet application.Contacting Dealerships and Accountants as requiredCommunicating the lending decision back to the initiator.Complete credit reviews including financial analysis.Ensure credit risk is minimised in all instances.Ensure all lending decisions are prudent and within lending criteria and guidelines.Assist with tasks related to the Personal Property Security Register (PPSR).Assist with other organisational requirements as necessary.Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required: A minimum of three years of practical lending experience preferably in a bank or finance company.Motor vehicle lending experience is preferred.Good general exposure to lending/banking procedures.Experience in Financial Analysis and providing recommendations.Negotiation experience including handling conflict.Experience building and maintaining relationships.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills.Accurate with figures.Organised with strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting demands.Ability to work 1 weekend day per week from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday.Must be NZ resident already located within Auckland.Above is just a snapshot of what this amazing role entails!
