Who we're looking for: To manage credit risk by assessing Corporate and SME credit applications in line with the credit policy of FleetPartners Group, perform administration credit functions, and support the credit team as required.
What you'll be doing: Analyse financial information, counterparty credit risk, asset risk and security structure of corporate transactions brought in by the Business Development & Relationship teams.
Prepare credit memorandum and approve within the DLA (Delegated Lending Authority) or refer with recommendation to Senior Credit Manager when outside the DLA.
Manage & analyse SME credit applications submitted via scorecard.
Ensure credit applications (corporate and SME) approved are in line with the company Credit Policy.
Ensure MLA/MFLA documentation is executed correctly and saved in line with the company policy.
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders in the credit process to ensure credit issues are identified and resolved as soon as practicable to enable timely delivery of credit decisions with set SLA's.
Manage and prioritise workflows depending on urgency and priority.
Requirements 3+ years' experience in a similar role preferably in an Auto-Finance environment.
Sound financial analysis skills and credit judgement.
Ability to advocate succinctly key risk issues and solutions in verbal and written communication.
A strong sense of empathy for business development and acute commercial orientation to develop practicable solutions to address credit issues without exposing FleetPartners to unnecessary risks.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise with team members, staff across the business and external stakeholders.
Technical Skills: Intermediate working knowledge and capability with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint program experience.
Problem-solving ability.
Maintain sound credit lending standards.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in relation to financial calculations, credit verifications and all matters associated with the preparation of credit memorandum.
Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop co-operation and teamwork.
Articulate verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to listen effectively and accept constructive feedback and action as required.
Ability to liaise with all levels of employees throughout an organisation.
Personal Management Skills: Customer focus both internally & externally.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under opposition at times.
Ability to learn new tasks and grasp concepts quickly.
Puts in extra effort as required to get the job done.
Ability to take ownership of results.
