About the role We have an opportunity in our Auckland team for a Legal Support Specialist, supporting a subset of our Corporate Practice Group and two high-performing Partners. As an experienced senior legal secretary, legal assistant or personal assistant, you may already have experience working in a corporate legal firm or your experience may be in another corporate industry.

You will get exposure to a range of practice areas and business services with the support of your colleagues. You will be working in a deadline driven environment, liaising with some of New Zealand's and internationals most recognised brands and high net worth individuals. You will be a proactive team player who is committed to providing a high standard of support.
Your daily responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Calendar, inbox, WIP and timesheet management for two partners
Assist with travel management
Coordinate team meetings, manage agendas and follow up actions
Opening new client matters, customer due diligence, and AML processes
Providing high-quality support, including drafting legal correspondence and preparing and amending documents
Liaising with clients on various matters, always maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour
Collaborate with team members to provide efficient high-level support for Partners
Proactively identify and address any potential issues or obstacles
Uphold the highest levels of confidentiality
Support practice group and wider firm on strategic initiatives
Conduit between with our various Business Services teams to support the practice group on marketing, business development, knowledge or other initiatives
About you You will ideally have over 5 years previous experience as a senior legal secretary, legal or personal assistant, be a collaborative team player with strong communication, administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet conflicting deadlines. Your positive attitude, strong initiative with the confidence in leading change, and ability to anticipate needs and proactively meet demands alongside your excellent interpersonal skills will allow you to excel in this role.
