As a Legal Secretary, you will work in a team to support the partners with crucial administrative functions, including client billing, matter management, and partner diary coordination.
The Wellington office has a strong team culture, and you'll be collaborating closely with both local and Auckland teams to provide exceptional service to clients.
About the Role: In this dynamic role, you will provide crucial support across a range of legal and administrative tasks.
Key responsibilities include: Prepare and issue bills, manage collections, and ensure timely month-end billing.
Oversee matter openings and closings, ensuring compliance with internal processes.
Manage partner diaries, arrange meetings, and coordinate with clients.
Prepare court bundles and assist with transactional work.
Supporting month-end reporting.
Track client interactions and case progress.
Work closely with Wellington and Auckland teams for seamless legal support.
About You: 2+ years strong legal administrative experience, ideally within a large law firm.
Proficiency in legal software.
Experience with billing, matter management, and diary coordination.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proactive, team-oriented with outstanding communication skills.
Positive, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to work independently.
