Position Overview
As a Legal Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the solicitors in a variety of legal matters, including property law, company law, trusts, wills, immigration, and civil disputes under the general supervision of solicitors and barristers. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, analyse and interpret a variety of legal documents and contracts.
Undertake title searches, easement instruments searches that may affect property title, liaise with other authorities to identify potential issues that may affect property transactions.
Interview clients, identifying the nature of issues and providing advice as necessary.
Prepare reporting statements, settlement statements, and deal with complex settlement issues to support conveyancing activities.
Prepare, examine and advise on mortgage documentation.
Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases and projects.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Liaise with internal teams and external parties to facilitate smooth legal operations.
Manage trust accounts, manage case files, organize documentation, and maintain accurate records.
Provide support in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution as required.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
Supervise law clerks and legal secretaries and take responsibility for their work.
Assist solicitors with various legal tasks as required.
Requirements from you
Diploma or higher qualification.
A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience could substitute the above qualification requirement.
Additional Legal Executive courses preferred but are not essential.
Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
