Legal Counsel – Pacific
Location: Auckland, New Zealand (with average 1 week/month in Suva, Fiji)

We're looking for an ambitious Legal Counsel to join our Pacific BU Legal team, working closely with our businesses across New Zealand and the Pacific. If you're passionate about providing strategic legal advice and navigating diverse commercial landscapes, this could be the perfect role for you.
Your Impact
As Legal Counsel , you'll play a key role in supporting our Pacific businesses, offering in-house legal advice, governance, and services across a variety of matters, including commercial agreements, competition law, intellectual property, and supply chain projects.
In this role, you will:
Advise on general commercial issues, particularly sales agreements, competition, and consumer matters.
Lead on local property, construction, and supply chain projects.
Provide strategic support on disputes and litigation (including in employment), marketing, intellectual property, and health & safety issues.
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders primarily in Fiji and New Zealand, including Pacific and NZ Leadership Teams, to deliver legal solutions that work for our business. This includes regular travel to Suva, Fiji.
Build strong relationships with external partners, law firms, and regulatory authorities.
About You
We're seeking someone with:
5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial law (FMCG industry experience is a bonus).
Strong negotiation and drafting skills across various legal disciplines.
A proactive attitude, eager to work autonomously and deliver value across the Pacific.
A qualification to practice law in New Zealand (Fiji qualifications would be a plus).
