Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 2 - 5 years' PQE to join our legal team for a fixed term of 1 year commencing in January or February 2025.
Working as part of a collegial team, you will provide a broad range of legal advice across all areas of Summerset's business.

Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
Acting on large scale property developments.
Managing compliance with the Retirement Villages Act and general regulatory compliance.
Assisting with governance and company secretarial matters.
Advising on NZX listing rule compliance.
Assisting business partners with key projects and strategic initiatives.
Previous experience in these areas is desirable but not essential, provided you are comfortable learning on the job.
Qualifications Law degree and practising certificate.
2 to 5 years post admission experience gained at a top tier law firm or strong mid-tier.
Prior corporate/commercial or property experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
A 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Excellent analysis and interpretation skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver work accurately and on time.
