About the Role:
Join one of NZ's leading teams and experience a meaningful change within their varied commercial team! This vacancy is available on an initial 10-month fixed basis, with clear permanent pathways available internally for the right applicant.
This role sits within the firm's busy commercial team, working closely with the banking and finance partner to facilitate a variety of large-scale transactions within this space.
You will also provide support to other senior generalist commercial authors within the team, working across a variety of contract law, commercial conveyancing and leasing, as well as corporate advisory work across M&A matters, contracts administration, capital raising, new business and joint ventures, franchising, construction, and insolvency.
Due to the advanced nature of this work, this role is suitable for senior commercial secretaries and legal executives alike; fee earning work will be available alongside administrative duties for the right candidate if desired.
Key Duties: Provide direct assistance to partners and senior leaders within the commercial team, including full diary and inbox management.Assist authors with relationship management, preparing thorough documents and providing high levels of communication across queries and processes.Liaise with banking institutions, government agencies, and other third parties.Advanced file management, incorporating complex documentation preparation and collation using a variety of administrative software.Administer monthly billing process, processing invoices and overseeing trust account transactions.Assist with preparation of loan agreements, security documentation, and regulatory compliance, in line with both national and international markets.About You:
This opportunity is suitable for legal secretaries or executives with 5+ years of experience operating within a fast-paced commercial team, moving towards more advanced finance or corporate work.
