At Unitec, we're passionate about the power of education to positively change the lives of our learners, their family and wider communities. We make sure our learners are well equipped for the future needs of employers, by providing them with a mix of hands-on and classroom-based learning.
Te aheinga: The opportunity
We're seeking a skilled automotive technician or engineer to join our team as a full-time, permanent Lecturer.
You don't need to have teaching experience as we will wrap support around you, but what you will need is a genuine passion for student success. You'll be naturally engaging and approachable and enjoy bringing out the best in others. You'll get huge satisfaction from passing your knowledge on.
You'll be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of New Zealand Certificate programmes of study. With a good understanding of automotive control systems and associated technologies, you will be supported to upskill your knowledge and deliver training using our state-of-the-art automotive emulation technology.
You'll spend time in the classroom teaching theory, but most of our learning is done through practical, hands-on experience in our well-equipped workshops within our purpose-built trades building.
He korero mou: About you
You'll be certified to at least level 4 (or international comparison) and have trade experience with a passion for automotive engineering.
Ta matau rourou: What we offer
Joining us at Unitec will mean you're committing to a work culture that you'll want to be a part of! You'll be working within a close-knit team and will also work closely with other teams across Unitec, giving you plenty of opportunities to get to know the wider group and the chance to give back to tomorrow's generation.
Tono mai: How to Apply
To be considered for this position, applicants must be a NZ Citizen or NZ Permanent Resident.
Click apply and attach your Current CV and Covering Letter outlining what role you are interested in and how your skills and experience align with this role.

Please note: We are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. We do not always work to fixed closing dates and may start considering applications as they are received, so we encourage you to apply.
