We are seeking an experienced lecturer to deliver the NZ Certificate in Study Skills and Career Preparation programme, and to recruit students for this programme with a view to bridging graduates into the Bachelor of Humanities, Education, or Health Sciences Maori Nursing programmes. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering and co-ordinating a quality academic programme that meets or exceeds the required learning outcomes and working with the Head of School and the National Programme Co-ordinators. You will also work with the Marketing staff to develop and deliver a recruitment campaign to grow student enrolments in this programme and degree programmes. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting in professional development for current Lecturers inside the School of Undergraduate Studies, student evaluations, appropriate resource creation, and programme administration.
You will also have:
· Previous tertiary teaching experience with specific teaching experience in the field of bridging to tertiary including teaching courses in advanced tertiary study, computing and online learning skills, Te Reo me ona Tikanga, individual career and study planning and goal setting, and knowledge systems.
· A minimum of a relevant Bachelors' degree.
· An adult teaching qualification.
· Demonstrated excellence in teaching, using a variety of skills and ranges of methodologies and techniques.
· Demonstrated links and networks and relationships with schools, iwi, community groups, and business organisations.
· A record of ongoing professional development.
Knowledge of tikanga Maori and the ability to korero Te Reo Maori to at least an intermediate level of competency is preferred.
