Edgewater College, Auckland Assistant HOD Mathematics/Numeracy Leader Full time, Permanent Middle leadership, Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Mathematics and statistics 1MU and/or WSL allowance Edgewater College is a co-educational, state secondary school in Pakuranga, Auckland, offering a future-focused, strength-based curriculum from Y9–13.
We serve a diverse urban community with students from a wide range of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring teacher to lead mathematics and statistics teaching and learning across our school.
This role has two parts – 1MU for leadership within the mathematics department and the additional opportunity to work as a within-school leader in our Kahui Ako to support numeracy teaching and learning.
The numeracy role involves coordinating our "NEDGE" programme of Numeracy, Futures and Financial Literacy, and Digital Technology, and tracking our students towards gaining their NCEA numeracy qualification.
This position would be suitable for either primary or secondary trained teachers.
